Eyes are the most vital of the five senses in our body. The miracle of sight connects us with the outside world. The human eye is an organ that deals with light and pressure. Human eyes help render a three-dimensional moving image. Usually convey colors during daylight hours. Vision loss can occur if the clear area at the top of your eye is clouded and the Cornea is not clear. If hit in the eye. If the cornea is damaged due to infectious disease or vitamin “A” deficiency, we cannot see. “Eye Donation” is the gift we get to fix this. An iris transplant today can give you vision. Attention is essential.
Today four people can gain vision if one person observes it. Due to lack of awareness and superstition, Eye Donation was less available. He has been working full-time since 2005 to fix this. Dr. from Sivakasi. J. Ganesh. He has so far received 272 awards from District, State, central governments and various NGOs and service associations for this service and has been placed in 12 world record books. Dr. J. Ganesh said about this…
When I went to Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai in 2005, there were more Cornea Blindness patients. They said that they can do the transplant only if they get the Cornea from Sri Lanka. They said Corneas are not available due to lack of awareness among the people. I decided that day to create awareness about Eye donation and I accepted Dr. APJ as my role model. Abdul Kalam and Swami Vivekananda. Both of them created awareness among students and youth and achieved success. I also decided to create awareness among the students on their way.

So far I have conducted eye awareness seminars in 1265 schools and colleges in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry without any compensation. I am showing a short film on Eye Donation among college students and raising awareness questions about Eye Donation and giving prizes to those who answer them. Apart from that, wherever in Virudhunagar district I get a call for an eye donation, I go to that place and take the Eyes myself and send them to the Eye banks. Also, I am inviting the families of those who observe the eyes and honoring them with city dignitaries and giving them a certificate of Appreciation of the Eye Bank and a shield with the photo of the deceased and making them popular with the help of the media and creating a way for many people to come forward to do the eyes. As a result of this, 4595 pairs of eyes have been donated and 16000 Cornea blind people have been given sight. Every year I have organized Essay competition, Poetry competition, Painting competition and Quiz on Eye Donation to school and college students in the District during the National Eye Donation fortnight and giving prizes. I am working towards creating a blind free Bharat.
Tamil Nadu is the second most Eye-Donating state in India and Virudhunagar District is the first in Tamil Nadu. Now the news of Eye Donation spreading to everyone..
