CHENNAI:12th Annual Sponsorship of Diya Sharing Foundation for under privileged students at t.nagar
Sri Ramakrishna Mission School in the August presence of Swami Guruvaranandaji, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama.

The event started with a prayer Both the Chief guest Prof.B.Ravishankar & Guest of Honour Shri.Ambashankar
Sharing their experience & memories associated with Sri Ramakrishna Mission in their younger days which was instrumental in developing their Character & service minded attitude. They gave examples of young successful sports personalities and encouraged every student to Dream Big & work hard towards achieving their goals, without getting distracted by social media.

Swami Guruvaranandaji, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama shared a few anectodes from his personal life & preachings of Swami Vivekananda. He wanted each one to be disciplined study with a single minded focus and always serve society.

This annual event brought together the students, families, teachers and volunteers who have been part of the foundation’s journey over the last twelve years.

The foundation began with a simple idea: no deserving child should drop out of school because the family cannot pay. Twelve years later, hundreds of students have been supported with school fees, uniforms, books and scholarships — at Sri Ramakrishna Mission School and several other schools across Chennai — with the support continuing year after year.

The results speak for themselves. Students who received their first sponsorship as school children are today working in corporate jobs, pursuing medical degrees and building careers their families once thought were out of reach. Many of them now come back to the annual event — not as beneficiaries, but as examples for the next batch of students sitting in the same chairs they once sat in.
