CHENNAI: KCG College of Technology (Hindustan Group of Institutions) Karapakkam, Chennai organized a placement drive for the employment of Skill Development Centre (SDC) students in Automobile Engineering Department. The skill development center has been developed in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp and Automotive Skill Development Council.

The objective of the skill development center is to establish employable skills among the needy and economically backward students. Hero MotoCorp officials visited department facilities and met the first batch students of Hero Skill Development center and appreciated them for their success.

The programme started with lighting of lamp by Manager’s Customer care across chennai dealer’s. The students were addressed by the Hero MotoCorp officials Mr. Rakesh Nagpal GM, Mr. Debkumar Dasgupta DGM, Mr. Gokulrajan Area Learning Manger, Mr. Sanjiv Kumar Yadav, Zonal service head visited along with Mr.Vikas Singh, Service Manager and his entire team. They praised initiative of KCG skill development centre.

GM of Hero MotoCorp described that this 3 month course in automotive skill development is going to impact the students next 35years & DGM deliberated about the noble impact of MoU between Hero & KCG at various levels of society.
Dr. P. Deiva Sundari expressed her gratitude to all the guest members and talked about the promotion of skill development centers in near future to fulfill the job vacancies through self- employment. Dr. T. Mothilal Professor and Head of the Department of Automobile Engineering explained the lab facilities and infrastructure available in the department and achievement made so far.

Also discussed about the journey of automobile department for last four years.
In the placement drive chennai dealers interviewed all the students & all of them got placed in Hero dealerships.
