Child Rescue Alert _18 May 2022 @ Egmore Railway Station
Per the information received at BBA Complaint Cell that a group of children are trafficked to Chennai for work.
Immediately a team has been constituted includes RPF and GRP, Egmore, Childline, ICWO and BBA.
The team inspected the said train (12376- Jasidih to Tambaram) arrived @ 00.20 hrs and secured four children aged between 15 and 16 years. The children are belongs to the state of Jharkahand (1) West Bengal(2) and Bihar(1).
Initial investigation revealed that they are brought here to work in hotel, bakery and construction site. All the four boys secured were kept in the childline office for the night and to be produced before CWC.
GRP is also investigating the case for further action.
